Royalty Free Music for YouTube

How we view media now has changed beyond recognition over the last few years. Younger generations will laugh at the very notion of waiting for a TV programme to appear on one or 2 channels once a week. I even remember a time watching with my parents when we only had 3 channels and they were all black and white. The youth of today look blank and bemused when you recall the marvels of flicking through the Radio Times and circling favourite TV programmes which would then be discussed the very next day en masse on the school playground. Such days of innocence

Yes times are certainly different now and the media is full of exciting and new ways to enjoy content.

The biggest influencer and most watched channel now for those under 30 is YouTube which will soon be introducing pay to view channel RED showing exclusive productions to a paying audience. YouTube want to rule the world be in no doubt about that and their plan is to be the only place to come for entertainment. The new pay to view channel is intended to widen their viewing audience showing that YouTube is not just for kids. Ironically if they had their way we'd be back to our parent's time limited to only a few select channels.

As YouTube attempts to become the world's broadcaster it is vital to use only pre cleared Royalty Free Music when uploading your video onto YouTube. Increasingly content ID matches are cropping up and preventng users from monetizing or placing annoying ads on your videos. Through royalty collecting companies like ADREV who monitor YouTube content ID some of our customers are having their videos flagged up with the alarming kneejerk warning of ' third party copyright infringement'.

This is annoying but help is at hand. ADREV do not have permission from us to do this. Our royalty free licence allows users to use our music forever without ever having to pay any fees or royalties. We have the composer's permissison to do this. We do not seek any extra royalties. So what can you do if this happens. Well firstly DO NOT PANIC. You have done nothing illegal or wrong . Email us the URL of your YouTube video that is being flagged and we will contact ADREV who being very nice people drop the claim immediately. We can get your channel whitelisted so this will never happen again.

So get in touch and send your URL to akm@akmmusic.co.uk

Don't send a claim to YouTube as this might be turned down or take far too long to resolve. We can sort it straight away by contacting ADREV directly, you can sit back and relax and we'll email you when the claim has been dropped.
